Become a Member of the Bear Lake Association
Membership in the Bear Lake Association is a great way to support the continued ecological health of Bear Lake for future generations and to stay engaged on issues affecting the lake and its residents. However, you don’t need to be a member to donate in support of the mission of the Bear Lake Association.

Running for the Board of Directors
Help shape the decisions that affect Bear Lake
Membership dues and additional donations fund important activities such as:
"Clean Boats, Clean Waters" boat inspections
Water quality monitoring
Aquatic plant studies
Invasive species prevention programs
Education and stewardship programs
Community and social events
Support local lake advocacy groups and partnerships
The Bear Lake Association is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are typically tax deductible; consult with your tax advisor.
Cost
The 2026 annual membership dues are $50 per family (2 votes) or $30 per individual (1 vote).
However, additional donations are necessary to fund critically important lake initiatives.
For 2026, a total donation of $200 is recommended.
Every member’s situation is different, and any amount above the basic dues is greatly appreciated. Some members may choose to give more, some less—and all support helps protect and enhance the lake we all enjoy. Most importantly, we value your participation and membership in the association.
